Healthcare Provider Smoothly Navigates Organizational Restructure

Executive Summary

Our team partnered with a healthcare organization during a high-priority workforce transformation following the award of a major federal healthcare services contract. The organization needed to rapidly transition existing employees from a legacy provider, redesign its organizational structure, and recruit for critical leadership roles—many of which had not yet been formally defined. We supported org design, workforce transition planning, and executive-level recruiting across multiple functions to ensure a smooth operational launch under aggressive timelines.

The Challenge

Following the contract award, the organization faced a complex and time-sensitive transformation, including:

  • Rapid redesign of the organizational structure to support a new federal healthcare services program
  • Transition of employees from a legacy healthcare provider into the new organization
  • Identification and filling of critical talent gaps where employees did not transition
  • Creation and staffing of new leadership and management roles with limited or no predefined job descriptions
  • Recruitment of highly specialized talent with experience in government healthcare programs, regulated healthcare environments, and complex payer/provider networks

The initiative required both speed and precision in a highly regulated healthcare setting with significant operational continuity requirements.

2. Workforce Gap Analysis

  • Prioritized critical hiring needs based on operational readiness and program launch requirements

3. Executive & Specialized Recruitment

  • Led searches for newly created and evolving leadership roles, partnering closely with stakeholders to define requirements in real time
  • Developed targeted sourcing strategies focused on niche talent pools with experience in government healthcare programs and complex healthcare operations
  • Conducted proactive outreach to passive candidates for highly specialized leadership positions
